Antisol -A is a water-dispersed acrylic copolymer based curing compound. It is ready for use and simple to apply. Antisol®-A will form a thin film, covering the surface of the concrete to prevent premature water loss due to evaporation.

Antisol®-A provides the following beneficial properties to concrete surfaces:
  • Reduces incidence of plastic cracking
  • Reduces shrinkage
  • Reduces dusting
  • Increases frost resistance
  • Replaces labour intensive curing methods such as wet-Hessian, watering, etc.
  • Can be overcoated without affecting the bonding of the subsequent application (concrete surfaces to be washed prior to overcoating in accordance with normal practice)
  • Will not re-emulsify in contact with water therefore allows overcoating even where back pressure of water is expected
  • Tested for use in contact with drinking water

Antisol®-A is sprayed onto newly placed concrete surfaces to form a thin film barrier against premature water loss, without disturbing the normal setting action.
Antisol®-A is suitable where subsequent surface treatments such as screed, protective coating, decorative paint, etc. are required.

Application Method / Tools
  1. Antisol®-A is ready to use. Do not dilute. Stir well before use. Antisol®-A curing compound can be sprayed, brushed or rolled onto newly placed concrete. Apply as soon as possible after final trowelling when surface water has disappeared (approximately 0.5 - 2 hours depending on ambient conditions).
  2. For vertical surfaces, apply immediately after removal of formwork.
  3. After application, the area must be protected from rain for at least 2 - 3 hours.
Cleaning of Tools
  1. Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use.
  2. Hardened and/or cured material can only be removed mechanically
Application Details

Coverage 5 – 6.5 m2 per litre depending on wind, humidity and temperature conditions

Notes on Application / Limitations
  • Antisol®-A is transparent after curing
  • Do not apply Antisol®-A on contaminated concrete surfaces (mould release agent, oil, stains, etc.) as this can lead to concrete stains and reduce the bond of subsequent coats
